You need to pick four classes to make up your party - and you can have more than one of any class if you like. You’ll have a choice between six different archetypal character classes - the Fighter, Black Belt, Thief, Black Mage, White Mage, and Red Mage. That includes naming the FF1 protagonists, and picking their ability sets. FF1 is an old-school eighties RPG, which means no set characters - you have to craft your own party.
